The purpose of What Next?

Broad aim: to find new ways of engaging with our audience and visitors: the ever-expanding millions who value and take part in the cultural work that happens day-in, day-out up and down this country.

Guiding star: to encourage the people of this country, as individuals and as communities, to see connections between the many different ways art and culture affect and enhance our lives; to urge everyone to register their endorsement of – and pleasure in – their art and culture, especially where these are under threat.

What Next? website and social media

Please note: We want everyone to feel free to ask questions and share their thoughts at What Next? meetings without worrying that they’ll be quoted elsewhere or out of context. It’s generally accepted that no-one reports on the meetings, tweets anything personal or identifiable, or shares any content without checking first with the contributor.

Agenda

1. Croeso a chyflwyniadau / Welcome and introductions

2. Speaker: Tracey McNulty, Head of Cultural Services, Swansea Council

5. What Next? evening session – this week, 9 May

In addition to the standard weekly morning What Next? sessions, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and St. David’s Hall are hosting a stand-alone What Next? mtg on Thursday 9 May from 6-7pm in the St Asaph Room at St David’s Hall.

This session offers the opportunity for us to encourage new people to engage with What Next? and is especially targeted at people who find a Wednesday morning difficult. Please help to spread the message by forwarding this information as it would be great if we could recruit some new What Next? attenders.

If anyone who is able to attend could bring one new person this would be much appreciated. Everyone attending will be given a FREE ticket to the BBC NOW concert at St David’s Hall beginning at 7.30pm . If you’d like to attend please drop an email to suzanne.hay@bbc.co.uk
